At the Tadpole level, base paths are set at 60 feet and a hardball is used. A pitching machine is used for this division. Game length is six innings or two hours after scheduled start time. The regular season is meant primarily for training. All positions must be shared equally within the limits of safety. Coaches are to place importance on player development rather than winning. No standings are kept for the regular season. During the playoffs, coaches may play to win. Tadpole is a "house" league so there is no traveling.
